Quick definitions: HCMS is FFL's agent-management system where your contracting process begins. SureLC is the contracting profile used for many carrier requests. A writing number (sometimes called a producer number) is the carrier-issued number that identifies you as an approved writing agent.

Before Contracting Begins

Carrier contracting starts after your pre-contracting steps are complete.

Before Brooke sends your HCMS invitation, make sure:

• [ ] My resident life insurance license is active.
• [ ] I have my NPN.
• [ ] My information on NIPR is correct.
• [ ] I completed the required 3. Pre-Contracting Training.
• [ ] Any transfer/release issues have been reviewed, if applicable.
• [ ] My lead strategy is confirmed.
• [ ] Heather confirmed my starting comp.

Step 1: Get Your Contracting Documents Ready

You may be asked to complete or provide items needed for carrier contracting, including:

• Errors & Omissions insurance (E&O)
• Anti-Money Laundering training (AML)
• Current licensing information
• Identification and personal information required by the contracting systems
• Banking information for commission deposits, when requested
