Your Licensing Roadmap

1. Complete Your Pre-Licensing Course

Start with the pre-licensing course provided during your onboarding.

Your required course hours and exact licensing steps depend on your resident state.

As you begin the course:

You may receive periodic check-ins while you are working through the course so the team knows where you are in the licensing process.

State requirements vary. Follow the licensing requirements provided for your resident state. If something does not match what you are seeing from your state, ask before guessing.

While you are working through licensing, also begin the 3. Pre-Contracting Training. You do not need to wait until you are licensed to start preparing for the business.

2. Schedule & Pass Your State Exam

After completing your required pre-licensing education:

  1. Follow the instructions for your state to schedule the required insurance exam.
  2. Let Brooke know your scheduled exam date.
  3. Review your course material and practice exams before test day.
  4. Take the required resident life insurance exam or Life & Health exam for your state.
